They really care about their clients and their staff. They also are great advocates for the older adult community, in Chapel Hill and North Carolina broadly. A pleasure to work for.

(July 24, 2017, 1:28 pm)I have been a volunteer with A Helping Hand for almost a year now, and I really enjoy volunteering with the clients I see. I am a volunteer in the charitable program where my assistance is free of charge to the client. Through my experience, I have only met respectful, polite, and cheerful older adults who probably would not receive much assistance without the help of A Helping Hand volunteers. Staff at A Helping Hand is also very responsive to email and phone calls. Working with this organization has been a positive learning experience since I moved to Durham.

Over several years we have had the pleasure of getting to know several different companions from Helping Hands. They have all been kind, considerate, and thoughtful, and our mom has enjoyed their company. I highly recommend this agency to others with this need.

The organization provides quality care and companionship to deserving individuals in the Durham/Chapel Hill community, and employs friendly, passionate people. The office staff is incredibly helpful and works to get everyone the care they deserve.
