(October 16, 2019, 9:13 am)This was my first time at this restaurant! I was feeling really hungry, but also feeling a pinch in the wallet, and my wife says, "It's less expensive than "Bur** K***!", so we stopped.
We didn't have coupons, but I saw the meals cost $3.99 and $4.99, so I splurged on the triple hamburger meal. Three decent sized (not quarter pound) patties with fresh toppings (I opted out of lettuce and tomatoes). They have a crunchy shoe string fries, which I liked, and a small chocolate shake, which sweetened it all very nicely!
At the end, I noticed the price tag was considerably less expensive than "the other guys" for a really premium meal. And, as the wait staff serves you and buses your table afterwards, you do feel pampered!
Really recommend this meal over any fast food places out there, unless its take-out or eat in your car time. -

(July 27, 2018, 3:08 am)What's not to like? Burgers made fresh daily and shakes that transport u back in time. Went for the healthy choice of a beef taco salad because I def was getting a shake. Where's the beef? This huge salad comes out with a crumble of meat on top. Thankfully my daughter ordered a double burger so I crumbled her burger in my plate and now we have a beef taco salad. The grilled chicken salad was incredible moist and tender. In NYC the only Steak n Shake location is in Times Square, so yet another place that has to be visited outside NY. The prices are more than reasonable. Happy hour weekdays for 1/2 price shakes and drinks. Cereal shakes, Cocoa Puffs was good according to my daughter. I am a purist and stayed w chocolate
