Salem Lake Trail - Linville Parking Area

It's not a huge parking lot- during busy times you may need to get precariously creative or drive a few minutes to the other side of the lake. That said though, it's a quieter corner of the lake to start your adventures, with several Pokestops and a Pokemon gym nearby, if that's your thing.

I’ve ran this course several times and it is a special place where I retreat to find peace and solitude within the hustle and bustle of the Triad. It is hands down one of THE best running/walking and casual biking trails in the local area. The scenery is amazing and the trail offers just enough of a challenge. It’s approximately 7 miles around the entire loop.

Great 7 mile trail that follows along the quiet lake. Multiple beeches along the way and two major entrances on either side (~3.5 miles apart). Trail is maintained well and great for a nice bike ride.

It's a beautiful place to walk. I went pretty early and it wasn't that busy (if you're trying to avoid crowds). I'm not an avid runner or even much of an exerciser but in trying to get out more and this was perfect. The scenery was beautiful, peaceful and motivating

Beautiful place for a walk, run, or bike ride. Nice smooth surfaces with minimal hills. Very easy trail around a nice lake. Approximately 7 miles to complete the whole loop.
