This is a great place to live in downtown Winston Salem. Convenient location, clean and well-mannered residents (unlike other newer apartments in downtown Winston that feel like dorms!). Erin Hatch, the property manager, is super helpful.
This is a great place to live. What makes it a great place is Erin Hatch the building manager. I also found it conveniently located in the downtown area. Living in this area was great for dining and entertainment. The apartments are modern with lots of space a plus in my books.
My husband and I have absolutely loved living at 757! Erin, the leasing agent, is amazing. She plans thoughtful events regularly and is extremely responsive. Eric, the maintenance man, is extremely helpful and kind. He fixes any and everything quickly. It’s the perfect location, affordable, and beautiful! We lived on the 3rd floor and never minded hauling things up the stairs because the staircase is enclosed. I’ve always felt safe coming out into the parking lot early in the morning. My guests have never had trouble parking on the back street. I could not say enough great things about this apartment. We’ll definitely miss living here!
I had to update my review of 5 stars after much consideration because I truly appreciated the assistance of the manager, Erin!
After living in the property for a year I can break down my overall experience - which was pretty great, except there were a few minor inconveniences.
-Door/chip functionality - a system that is constantly failing and/or under maintenance.
-Parking & towing - you are entitled to one parking space per apt unit, and you're lucky if you even find a parking space at the end of the day (no assigned parking) first come first serve basis. May seem fair to others, but after a long day - not the best! but that's not what bothered me, it was the fact that the management seems to be completely disconnected from the towing company that shows up randomly. One day my car was towed because my tag fell to the side and they claimed they didn't see it so my car was towed. Let's just say I had to pay $350 to get it back and management did absolutely nothing to help me. It was a sad day to say the least!
- After I moved out I was entitled to receive a refund for my deposit, turns out I ended up owing them money instead because their automated system didn't draft full payments on time, so they used my deposit to cover money I had no idea I owed, because ya know - that's what their automated system is for.
I've never left a review of this kind anywhere, but considering the huge amount of money I spent on this place (and what I lost) I think it will be helpful to future residents.
757 North has been an incredible place to live throughout graduate school. The staff is so friendly- Erin and Amanda always goes above and beyond to make residents feel at home. The amenities are great, I love the gym and the study/ business areas and use them all the time! The apartment units are a great price compared to other downtown apartments and the bedrooms are huge (I live in a 2B2B). Parking is super convenient and there is nearby street parking that can be utilized easily for guests. I would highly recommend 757 to anyone hoping to live downtown! Walking distance to the medical school and to lots of great restaurants and breweries :-)
