Tar River Life

We had a great day yesterday tubing down the Tar River with Tar River Life. Booking online was easy and Carla was so kind and helpful. Beautiful, fun, and relaxing fun for the whole family. This place is simple, not fancy but the tubes were awesome as well as the views along the way. We can't wait to return! Highly recommend you wear water shoes or shoes that can get wet.

So much fun! They have tubes (with and without back support), cooler tubes, and waterproof cases for your phone. The river is so much fun! About waist height almost all the way through and sandy, not slimy, on the bottom. There is a nice rock for a stopping place for lunch. When I went, the river was a little slow, but they have paddles if you feel like you aren’t moving quickly enough. I’ve been twice and I’ve loved it both times!!!

Very nice people and a great way to spend a morning. Had a good time with my son and am looking to bring the whole family back. One very small 'rapids' section that is easy to get through.

We reserved our kayaks the day before in a last minute decision. Everything went very smoothly. We checked in and got shuttled up to where the kayaks were already lined up on the shore. Our day trip was beautiful and relaxing--the perfect get-away from the city! Thanks Tar River Life!

Fantastic day with friends and family. The staff is definitely what makes this place. They get you to sign waivers tell you what to expect, drive the shirt bus to the start, and let you go. Fantastic group of staff helping at the launch and pickup. We will definitely be doing this again. What a fun afternoon. Calm, peaceful ride down river, then we had a BBQ and chicken dinner at the end.
