The Sod Man

I chose The Sod Man to install sod in my backyard. Murphy came out and gave me an estimate and my install was completed the following week. My yard looks amazing! Murphy and his entire team has been great to work with and has been very responsive to all of my questions before and after the installation. It was a pleasure working with them.

I am the happy owner of a huge parcel of zoysia sod from Murphy & his guys. It is in four different spots & each area had its own unique issues (front yard on existing weeds, backyard near water, without irrigation, on some old tree roots, etc…)
The installation was so quick & in each area, the supervisor walked me through what to do in each area. When I told him I would remember what he said, he said, “You might not. Write it down because this is important.” (Lol & he was right!) He even let me borrow his sprinkler when we realized the irrigation system wouldn’t reach a spot.
There was one miscommunication on my part, but Murphy & I discussed it, decided what was the best option, & they came right back out & got it done.
I also purchased a large load of black mulch that they spread & smoothed out around the flower beds.
The areas where they were working were cleaned up as they went along & when they left, the driveway & the brick areas were cleaner than they were to begin with.

I submitted a request on line at 5pm on a Tuesday, and was talking to Murphy on the phone minutes later. He showed up the next day and we had a complete backyard of fresh new centipede two days later! Murphy and his team were extremely professional and polite. They were on time and worked quickly. The job was done to my complete satisfaction! I highly recommend the Sod Man for the Moore County area.

The sod man was very responsive and professional when our first sod installation did not thrive. Murphy was exceptional in making things right.

Mark McKenzie, aka Sod Man, is the best and I'd recommend him before anyone else. Reasonably priced, honest, and a man of his word. He guarantees the work and personally inspects the job once completed. His crew is extremely hard working, professional, and friendly. I asked Mark to replace some sod I didn't like and add another small area and he did it without charging extra. I wouldn't look anywhere else if you need to sod or resod your yard. The attached photos are 2 weeks old and I had to the mow the lawn this weekend. We are absolutely satisfied with the work.
