  My fiance and I enjoyed Bubba's barbecue. Instantly felt like family as soon as I walked in the door. Great conversation along with amazing food.

  Always a great ace to eat. Friendly service and amazing barbeque. The owner tells jokes and has a few gags up around the store. Be sure to check out the men's urinal ... Seriously it's a good laugh. I love this place and have been going there for years. It's a bit steep on price but we'll sort the expense

  Absolutely wonderful place to eat. I love small wonders! The waitress Donna is super amazing. Customer service at its finest. The owner Ralph is the best owner i have ever met he interacts with his customers. I love this place. I will return.

  Local Eastern Style BBQ, quite popular
  Unusual mustard based cole slaw was surprisingly good..... never had it before.
  Myself, a big fan of Red Bridge's in Shelby, thoroughly enjoyed Bubba's. Cannot compare the two because of the recipes. I would definitely recommend Bubba's
  Fantastic atmosphere, fantastic staff, amazing ice cream sandwiches
  I don't care how full you are, get one!!!

  When you first walk into Bubba's you wonder if you've made a terrible mistake. The atmosphere here is very quirky with wild decorations and very simple tables and chairs. The menu is very basic but it is authentic NC BBQ whether you like it or not. This is in the style of a Carolina Pig Picking which most people are not that familiar with. Meaning that the pig is slow roasted in a large cooker probably for about a day and a half. It does have the “fall off the bone” texture but it isn’t the idea that everything will be soft as vanilla pudding. You have your choices of sweet or vinegar style sauces. The side dishes are pretty delicious depending on what you are in the mood for. This place has some of the most authentic Carolina Sweet Tea that I have ever had in any restaurant here in Charlotte. There perhaps are better but in the local vicinity there is no better BBQ place. This is the kind of place that you will either love or hate in a very specific way. I have gone here several times but I do notice that each time I must have a very specific mood to enjoy it. The food remains consistent and is always good. Regardless of a seemingly ambiguous review, I still give the place five stars.
