  Totally awesome. Beautiful pieces and excellent prices. And Mr Owens was so friendly and told us many stories of the early days of NC potting.

  Inviting location filled with both functional and decorative pottery thrown by a family who have been potters for well over a hundred years. Worth visiting just to hear the history of this family; four generations on the same land. Their cups and mugs are beautiful, and well-priced. The real showstopper, however, is the signature cinnabar-style red glaze developed by the family patriarch, and still in use today for decorative pots, pitchers, and candle holders. Stunning!

  Amazingly talented potters with beautiful pieces of work. Steeped in NC History, this 100 year old pottery shop is well worth the visit. The family history is fascinating and they have a private museum that is free to the public that showcases the pottery and the family for over a a century of pottery history. A must stop for any pottery lover or NC history buff.
