North Carolina Aviation Museum

Nice place with a lot of old planes; can spend a lot of time reviewing old history

Great little museum. Yes it's kind of small, but it is absolutely loaded with all kinds of relics from the war and has so much dedicated to the people from North Carolina. If you're from here, you should definitely go, if you're not, you should do the same. There is a little Cessna that the kids can climb in and work the controls, which every kid will love. Friendly staff and along the side of the airport so if it's a pretty day, even more action is right there.

So interesting! This local museum has been well kept up by people that truly love local aviation history and local North Carolina heroes from every conflict. There are a good number of small planes to look at and you can even climb inside a few. There is a massive amount of memorabilia and papers all about these local heroes and the part that they and the country played during the different wars of the past century. It seems like a small out of the way place but it is definitely worth at least half a day to see all the amazing things housed in this local museum!

It is great! Not your typical museum, rather two aircraft hangars filled with tons of military artifacts and history. Not just aircraft, but military uniforms, relics, and small arms. Everything can be seen up close, interesting to all ages. Nicely tucked back off the main road, well run property, clean, and friendly staff. Our family really enjoyed the visit, we were there for about 90 minutes and saw everything without rushing.
