Museum and Archives of Rockingham County

I went to the NC Civil Rights Trail Marker Dedication For Griggs v Duke Power on Thu 1 Aug 2023 @1730. This was in honor of 12 brave men who took on Duke Power Co all the way to the Supreme Court and won for us all. One of those men was my father, Junior Blackstock. It was a privilege to share this event with many of the families of my father's co-workers ,friends and community.

We just kind of happened upon this place and I am so glad we did! This was a wonderful museum, full of all kinds of educational rooms about Rockingham's history. The museum is set up beautifully with wonderful displays and plenty to see. The ladies at the front were incredibly nice and guided us during the beginning of our tour. An adult admission is five dollars and well worth it! Please be sure to stop in!

What a great job the MARC staff and volunteers are doing in preserving Rockingham County"s history, and providing educational programs for the public and school children as well! The John Burton Agricultural Exhibit is ow open and is a must-see for everyone!

This is a fun place to go if you're in Eden. It's got a lot of interesting stuff in there we were pretty pleased takes about an hour to go through
