My mother was a resident of Bethany Woods from October 2023 until her passing in March 2024. We could not be more pleased with the care that was provided to my mother, who was in the late stages of Alzheimer's. Certainly, the CNA and nursing care is the most important services provided. Every direct care staff member that I came in contact with, and observed, was excellent. Noteworthy, is that the entire operation has a culture of caring and compassion. Maintenance, laundry, admissions, front desk, business operations, food service, and social work all treated my mother and me, as her primary advocate, professionally and with compassion. I will forever be greatful for Bethany Woods support in caring for my mother in her final months with grace and dignity.
The staff is always so welcoming and friendly smiles.
My initial rating was four stars. I stand by that. After my Father was admitted, they took really good care of Dad. He passed on October 29th, 2023. I found the receptionists friendly and competent. The staff was engaging, professional and concerned about my father. They have a system of checks and balances, to make sure they give the best care. The facility is remotely located. The people who work in the location are very kind, very caring people. It's not a fancy place for a nursing home. It is sparse and looks concerning. You can't judge a book by it's cover. The people working there, actually care about patients. When I saw other patients there, they looked like they were being treated very well.
Today my mom went to her new place which is Bethany woods .. When I arrived every one was very pleasant n the admissions was easy process. I know my mom will be more at ease now . We are fairly new to albemarle but really fairly new to North Carolina, and my mom has not made any friends yet but I'm hoping her roommate that I met today will help that way . Again thank you for what you do .
I was pleased with the care and attention my dad received while in inpatient rehab. As with most skilled nursing facilities, staffing is always an issue. BW utilized travelers to fill their staffing needs. Not once did I feel my dads needs were not being met. Sometimes there was a wait but he wasn’t forgotten. The NPR individualized treatment for every patient. The Rehab department was outstanding. The physical facility is dated but clean.
