Shoba’s Music Therapy Services

This is THE BEST therapy that we've ever had! We are so blessed to have Ms Shoba working with Francis. He asks to go every day! Ms Shoba is excellent in working with special needs children. She understands their needs and challenges so well. And more importantly, she truly knows how to work with them around the needs and challenges!

This is by far my son's favorite activity! He talks about Ms. Shoba all week, he loves watching videos of himself from his sessions, and he has cultivated a huge interest in music thanks to his lessons. Shoba assesses his areas of need and personalizes each session to address those needs. She makes therapy fun - my son hardly notices how hard he is working because he is so happy to be there. She has so many unique instruments that create an incredible sensory experience for my son each session. I never could have imagined he would be practicing OT, speech, and vision while playing a tongue drum, accordion, or ukulele (to name a few). Needless to say, I highly recommend Shoba's Music Therapy Services!!

Mrs Shoba is very professional. She is very patient and loving with our 5 years old son who has ASD. He made improvements in a short time not only with music but also with body awareness and following directions. I will highly recommend doing Music Therapy with Mrs Shoba.

Shoba is experienced and very professional. we highly recommend to any family of a child with special needs!. I like her detailed summary after every session. It helps me to understand my son's strengths and weaknesses. She also shares suggestions and strategies to handle behavior in various situations. She always inspired me with her passion. Music therapy helped him( 9 years old) in so many areas. Speech, fine motor skills, behavior, reducing impulsive behaviors, listening, problem solving, attention span, patience, focus and expressive language .This has been one of the best things we have done for my son.

Shoba's Music Therapy has changed our daughter's life is so many positive ways! Ella is much more talkative, happy and engaging than ever! Shoba's nurturing and loving teaching style encourages our daughter to learn about music as well as patience, timing, listening skills, recognizing verbal and nonverbal cues and soothing/breathing techniques. Shoba provides detailed lesson summaries that help us stay informed of the skills Ella learns each week. Ella looks forward to her weekly music lessons and finds the sessions so rewarding that she often doesn't want to leave! Our family is so grateful that Shoba is part of our lives!
