Bass lake trail

  After lots of construction and renovation, the Bass Lake Trail/Greenway has become a fantastic and enjoyable walking/biking trail. It extends from the end of Womble Park around towards Sugg Farm and finishing around the Bass Lake. I enjoy using the greenway to go for runs and use as a shortcut to get from one park to the next.

  FYI this leads you to a park which probably leads you to Bass Lake if you walk far enough.

  Last I recall from this trail, it was closed down due to construction. There was no feasible walking path from Bass Lake over to the park, even for the residents of the nearby neighborhoods.
  
  If one is to take this path, I would recommend bringing a bicycle. The full path is at least 2 miles long.

  Beautiful and wonderful park. Relaxing, clean and well maintained. I'm glad I found it.

  Nice path that connect the trails at Bass Lake to Womble Park. Smooth pavement, well maintained.

Lake Trail. The loop around Bass Lake is 1.90 miles with surface made up of primarily mulch. About 1.65 miles of the trail is an easy walk along the lakeshore. Look for waterfowl, osprey, eagles, snakes and turtles. About .25 miles of the trail is a moderate walk through the woods. Look for many species of trees including pines, oaks and hickory.
