We're all the way in Wilmington but our regular vet referred us here when he was worried about our bunny Otto having a possible lockage. Everyone was so patient and kind and treated him (and us) wonderfully! The staff does a great job maintaining a calm, low-key and straightforward demeanor and really put us at ease while giving us plenty of information and good advice. You couldn't ask for more compassionate care during such a stressful moment. And most importantly, Otto is back home with his sister Lucy now and feeling great!
This is the only 24 hour exotic animal emergency hospital in the area. My bunny sadly became ill late at night and the staff was nothing but helpful and understanding. The doctor helped me through a difficult decision and everyone was very kind. They do not let you inside right now so my bunny was brought out to me as she gently passed away. I chose to have her cremated and got the remains back in basically 48 hours. While I initially thought the prices expensive, I found out after my visit that not only do they accept exotic pets but they also accept injured wildlife free of charge. Caring for wildlife isn't actually free so I'm ok with paying a little more knowing my money may help care for other animals in need. Knowing this now makes me feel better about the money I paid and I only wish I had extra I could donate. I will bring all my animals here in future for emergency care.
My dogs got into a scuffle and one got a good wound I was able to bring her up there and get looked at right away everyone was extremely friendly and made me comfortable leaving my animal in there hands. As a veterinary assistant myself I would recommend them time and time again. Thank you for all the good you do to everyone in the field.
We came here due to our bunny, Bean, sustaining a wound on his bottom lip after getting into a tiff with his older brother. The wound on his bottom lip was discouraging him from eating any of his pellets or hay- making us worry he’d go into GI stasis. Due to the fact that his lip was deeply cut & essentially split he would have had to undergo a little procedure to fix his lip. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the means to cover such a procedure along with the over night stay so instead they helped us resolve the issue by giving us home treatments & pain medication. They were also kind enough to disinfect his wound and use skin glue to encourage the healing process. I’m so happy we brought bean to this urgent care. The staff is very friendly & patient- even after dealing with the many questions we had (during & well after our visit) & also working within the means of our budget. I’m so happy we brought Bean to this urgent care. I’m sure he will have a speedy recovery!
