(August 22, 2021, 3:27 pm)Well maintained mostly gravel trails overlapping a creek with several bridges and overlooks. Up hill and down hill grades aren't to steep and the majority of the trails are shaded by tree cover making it nice on hot sunny days. Clean public restroom at the parking area. A large pavilion area with several tables not far from the trail entrance makes a nice place for a picnic. Very dog friendly area and moderately kid friendly as long as your children aren't expecting playground equipment.

(July 10, 2021, 11:36 am)Nice set of trails with informational signs about trees and the ecology of a Piedmont forest. As another reviewer noted, it is very helpful to take a picture of the map at the start. There are many loops and possible routes, although most are short and it is pretty easy to stay oriented. The bridge on Laurel Lane is no longer there so the Kenneth Crossing bridge is the only (non-wading) way to reach the other side. The Heritage trail ends well short of where shown on the map, apparently because the stream cut away part of the trail. On a warm July morning, there were lots of dog walkers and kids playing in the creek. Bathrooms were locked when we visited.

(May 31, 2021, 4:57 pm)Its a nice park, but....for as much money as the town of Fuquay-Varina is pulling in these days, you would think that they could spare $3k for a bathroom upgrade. Seldom clean or stocked.
