I cannot say enough good things about Alex and Intex Design. Exceptional customer service, quality products and knowledgeable install. I was referred by a neighbor and only had a small job, but was treated as if I had a large job and am thrilled with my French door shades.

This is our second time using Alex and Intex Designs. He did all our window treatments 5 years ago and they are fabulous. I kept his number. We needed shades on our home addition of a lanai and he came to the house within 1 Day with all the samples and helped us make the best choice. My wife and I just moved from our home of 33 years in metro New York into a new construction home in Raleigh NC. Like many new home owners, we needed window coverings. We’ve always done DIY home-store blinds and drapes; however, we decided to use a professional service to advise us and install what would look really good, be worth the investment, last a long time, and not go out of style.

Having zero experience with this, we wanted not just a company with great quality and good pricing, but a company that would help us with the big decisions needed for starting from scratch in a big new house.

We read reviews on Yelp and Google of many good companies, but Intex Design’s reviews were glowing in terms of professionalism, design sense, no-pressure consultation, and reasonable cost for real quality. There was just something about the reviews that gave us a solid feeling of confidence and showed that Intex was a step above the rest.

We usually meet with 2 or 3 companies before making a final decision on any service, but after our initial consultation with Alex - at our home location with his mobile studio - my wife and I decided we didn’t need to interview any other companies. Why?

Alex gave us an enormous amount of time to consider window treatment options. He walked and studied our house, discussed ideas, looked for our feedback, and shaped possibilities that had us excited. After looking at our windows, we proceeded to his mobile studio to look at the actual products, which he then demonstrated. At the end, we went with a combination of white wooden shutters (4 1/2 inch louvres) for all of our windows and corded roller shades in a translucent white linen type-fabric for our two full-glass doors.

The final look for our house is eye-popping, inside and out. It was exactly what our house needed to complete our investment and give it a warm beautiful look—traditional, yet modern. In fact, having gorgeous wood shutters in every window immediately raised the value of our home. Those things alone would make for a good recommendation, but it was really dealing with Alex and Jennifer (founder of this 30+ year family owned business) that made it a wonderful experience.

Quality consultation, zero pressure, great products, nice people, expert (and very neat) installation with a promise of lifetime customer service. Intex Design is a 5 star company.

After getting several quotes they were not only competitive in price but I felt the most comfortable with them and their attitude and service. Alex was so wonderful to work with, they were on time, and installed in a timely manner.

On my first appointment I conveyed that I need to have window treatments and having just built the house the budget was tight. Jennifer and Alex suggested a roller shade that was both functional and priced economically. These shades delivered the function I needed which was wonderful, but because I had a lot of french doors in the back I wanted shades to "disappear" when raised up. I absolutely LOVE the shades and really appreciated Jennifer and Alex helping me stay in budget. My husband loved the price and I absolutely love the product looks and ease of use. We also bought a couple of plantation shutters for our bathroom windows and the quality of this product also exceeded my expectations. LOVE their products...LOVE their service and I am picky!
