The doctor was so personable. He’s old school and really listens. He spent a lot of time with ME, not rushing in and out tending to others. He addressed every concern from my mental health to my physical health. It was my first time with him and I asked him if I could hug him. He reminded me of my dad and was caring like a dad. I switched from a young bouncy PA in Clayton who chastised me and talked to me like a child when I could be her mom or at a minimum and older sister to someone who is mature and has great bedside manner.

New to the area. Fantastic experience with Dr. Sicking for my annual physical, some lab work done on site with immediate feedback during the exam and blood work back in a day or so with a personal call back to go over the results by the physician! That is a rarity in today's medical practices. Dr. Sicking also gave me some recommendations for seasonal allergies. Gabbie (sp) in the front office is friendly and efficient.

If you want a doctor that spends the time and energy to actually listen to you and is thorough in his examinations, Dr. Sicking is the doctor for you! I've gotten so tired of doctors that just want to deal with the first few words you say, without hearing the whole story or asking any questions, and get you out of their office within minutes, after you spend an hour waiting. Dr. Sicking is a breath of fresh air. He schedules enough time to really get to know and try to help his patients. He even does his own blood draws and calls you himself with the results! He is proactive, rather than waiting until you're on your death bed before actually making an effort to do something. He seems concerned about your quality of life, not just keeping you alive. I'm very impressed, especially in light of our factory-like healthcare these days.

I started seeing Dr Sicking when he was the primary care Dr that was listed on my medicaid card, from my first visit i was comfortable and felt heard by him. He gets right to the point and makes sure I understand the information he is giving me. Recently when i moved medicaid switched the Dr on my card to a local office of another Dr, I didn't even consider seeing them I called medicaid and had my PC changed back to Dr Sicking at Wakefield Internal. Seeing Dr Sicking since my recent move involves over an hr of travel time each way and I still do not consider seeing another Dr. It is rare to find a Dr you like, feel comfortable with, listens to you, is knowledgeable and accommodating and helps you understand what he is saying. Both Gaby and Dr Sicking have always taken whatever time I have needed and worked through any issue to always provide me with excellent and individual care.
