Yadkin Memorial Park

Great place to relax and kayak. Clean bathrooms and friendly staff. Campground looked clean and walking trails are great. Only 4 stars because I rarely catch bass out of here....of course, that could probably be on me!!!

Great hidden gem ...very nice lake and facilities..not a huge lake but nice ..We took our kayaks ...It has a sandy beach and dock to put kayaks in water..They also rent kayaks..

Worth the 30 minute drive, kids loved the lake and he amazing rope jungle gym concoction they have!

Update 12/31/20: Walked the Ashley Ladd Trail with my kids today and what an amazing trek it was. My 7 and 10 year old had a blast hiking this beautiful trail to the Dam. My 10 year old daughter kept commenting on how beautiful the trail was with it's especially "cool" creek crossing bit. Before leaving we went to check out the camp sites, which, look very new and perfectly laid out. As a native to Davie county for almost 3 decades, Yadkin County has made some amazing moves with their rec & parks system. Kudos to everyone involved in these endeavors!

Nice little trail with a new dog park and new tent camping spots. You can take a small boat out to fish or hike to the dam. Very nice park.

Quiet and peaceful. Beautiful scenery all around. Large paved walking track. They offer boat and kayak rentals and have two fishing piers. Lake is stocked with a variety of fish. Playground is adequate and there are grills available for cooking out. The covered picnic shelter has plenty of room and the bathrooms are clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Park is kept very clean. 5 stars!
