We've had negative experiences with nursing homes. It's a breath of fresh air knowing that several of the people we care about are at Golden Years. They've bloomed; they look good, feel good, are social, involved and happy. I have 25 + years in health care management and am completely impressed with both the staff and facilities. I would definitely put my own parent here.
i have worked here for 4 years and have even worked at a couple of other places throughout these 4 years. i can truthfully say, there is nowhere like Golden Years! the staff is very hardworking and very caring. the new management team works very hard to assure that the residents get the best quality of care and they are very attentive to the needs of not only the residents, but families and employees as well! my mimi has been here for rehab twice and was treated kindly with great respect from all departments. Golden Years is and always will be my home away from home
Golden Years takes great care if your lived ones. My mother has Dementia and the staff is fantastic! But BEWARE if your loved one tests positive to the Covid they have to send your loved one to another nursing home which has a Covid unit. Well, my mother got sent to Mountain Crest. This place is horrible. You can't get anyone to answer the phone. The patients do no have phones in their rooms. On the occasion that I have gotten to speak with my mom she has been crying hysterically and begging me to get her out of their. I have had sleepless nights and worries out of this world. She is supposed to be coming back to Golden Years Tuesday 9-22...but as I understand there are issued...Mountain Crest does not do any more testing ...no symptoms after 10 days they are good to go per CDC. My sister was told by a nurse at Golden Years that they can't get a clear answer from the CDC. If they still want 2 negative tests before released from the covid unit. AS MY MOTHER SITS IN THIS PLACE CRYING AND BEGGING TO GET OUT. MY mom is 92 years old. She does not deserve to be going through this. Covid has been here for several months. Seems to me that the Administration would be it top of it. I am very concerned for the well being of my mother. Please pray for her to be back with the staff she loves at Golden Years.
I placed my mother here in 2012.The last 4 years of her life were a blessing to many within Golden Years walls. It was a tough decision to place her, However it was a Great fit for her and our family members. As anyone should know with any establishment, there will be issues from time to time so be prepared for that. But looking at the big picture, The staff was great and accommodating, the aides and nursing staff were exceptional. We became friends to the staff and the building became a second home. Almost like family. If I had to do it all over again, I would chose Golden Years for any loved one and even for myself.
Respectfully David L. Fields
Golden Years is a wonderful facility. My best friend was there for rehab after a hospitalization and she received excellent care. The therapy staff was very knowledgeable and got her back on her feet quickly. The nursing staff treated her like family and went out of their way to see that she was comfortable. Other facilities may have a flashier appearance, but this place is a true gem. Thank you for everything you do.
