Chris and his team took excellent care of my son's car. The staff is honest, friendly, and genuinely interested in helping customers. I would recommend A-Team Transmissions to anyone!
The owner and team are very knowledgable. They inspected my truck's transmission and explained how I could tow my RV more effectively to save wear and tear on my truck's transmission. The inspection showed the transmission was in good working order and ready for camping season. And they did not charge me for the inspection.
Took my van in on a Friday. The diagnostic indicated a transmission rebuild which would be at least a week to repair. When they started to pull it out the following Monday they saw wires that had been eaten through. Replaced those and a shift sensor and that's all it needed. I was able to pick it up that same day. They saved me $2000 in repair costs. They also saw another issue that they don't work on but recommended getting that looked at. Their honesty and integrity make them a place I would highly recommend.
My 2013 Mini Cooper suddenly ran into transmission issues at 93000 miles. I was referred to A Team Transmissions by a local Firestone who relies on them for all transmission work.
Not only did Chris get my car fixed ahead of schedule and under budget, he also called to give updates on the process and gave his opinion on what went wrong and ways it might be avoided in the future. I was very impressed with him and his work and appreciate how quickly he got me back on the road.
I had tried my hand at swapping my SI's clutch but had to abandon due to complications with the bell-housing and I put it all back together. About 7 miles down the road my car lets out a clunk. Every gear's a neutral.
Called up A-Team and they sent a wrecker out to pick my car up the same day. Once they had a lift available they took a look at my car and identified the driver's side axle hadn't been seated properly. They cleaned out the transmission, installed the clutch-kit I was trying to install from the start, put it back together and slid the new axle into place after waiting for it to arrive. Labor came out to be about the same as if I'd have taken it to the shop to begin with. A lovely bit of grace.
The crew and especially the managers are great and humorous guys who'll stop at nothing to ensure a properly done job with the highest customer satisfaction. Only pieces they "missed" were more-so my problem, such as the engine shield which is a PITA to get on and off (Probably for the best that I put it back on as I know how to work around its finickiness). The other oddity was a clunk that I knew was the driver's side tie-rod joint, as I'd forgotten to put the pin back in when I attempted the clutch swap prior to them working on it. Corrected it and tightened it back down without issue.
They seemed to enjoy having my SI in the shop, with it being newer, cleaner, and just a piece of candy to be around and drive. If I ever have any sort of transmission work needs doing, I'll definitely consider A-Team Transmission!
