Critical Care Transport

I really enjoy working here. They pay very well for a private ambulance company, and you actually get to use your skills as an EMT or medic because they actually take emergencies. It is a very fun place to work and the equipment is amazing! Lifepak 15’s, power cots, ventilators, and many more.
They care about their employees and the owners are very invested in the company and love seeing that their employees are taken care of. The supervisors and director are very thoughtful and actually care about you. They want to see you advance in EMS.
CCT also pays for your CE’s and recertifications to help make your life easier when your certification is about to expire.
I don’t think I would work at any other private ambulance company over Critical Care.
It is an amazing place to work.

I’ve worked here for a little over a year now and have had a good experience with this being my first job as an emt. I have worked several different types of shifts and with several different medics.

Pros- Management is understanding when you have a problem and will take you seriously and help find a solution, the staff here is friendly and is always willing to learn from and teach eachother. You get a good amount of emergencies and will always have functioning equipment to be able to address them. Its a great stepping stone into other fields and you get experience dealing with more critical patients.

Cons- The pay is lower than most companies, but for me i came for the type of runs this company gets to be more comfortable with emergent patients before moving on to a Fire Dept. There is a lack of punishment towards the few bad eggs that call off regularly those that have poor patient care and those who generally slack when they are here.

Overall I have made good friends here, I make enough to get by and feel like I learn new things regularly. This company is a good place to start.

I prefer not to use my "government" name, but wanted to review CCT. I've worked here several months and found nearly all of my co-workers to be helpful and friendly; my direct supervisors to be kind and patient even though there is a lot of stuff they are responsible for; dispatch does not appear to play favorites (ever) and the runs seems to be balanced, not just in number, but type and acuity as well. The owners are very involved and seem to reinvest in the company quite a lot, and to my surprise-actually seem to care about the employees. There are some downsides like the pay could/ should be higher and it would be nice to get off on time, but that's the state of health-care sadly. The pros, I believe, far outweigh the cons of this company.

Great place for employment. When I started here things were a little stressful for me because it was my first EMT job. My first crew I worked with didn’t teach me much but the rest of the staff picked up the slack left by the person who had let me down. Since then I have had very rewarding experiences with the company. I often ride with medics and take real emergencies. I heard private transport is usually mind numbing by people I know who have done EMS jobs for a while but I think I found the one company that keeps things interesting. That not to say I don’t take boring runs like other ambulance company’s typically make all their money off of but I do get a significantly larger number of emergencies than my friends who work elsewhere. My only piece of advice is if you don’t like long hours don’t work here. My typical day is anywhere from 13-16 hours but it’s super rewarding with 4 days off a week!!! If that sounds good to you than this is a perfect place to start experiencing hands on patient care and getting other experience before getting on a fire department or a county ems station!
