My Mother is buried here. She passed a year ago tomorrow, and we all went to visit her gravesite today. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and the grounds are very well maintained. I only have three issues that kept me from giving five stars. First, the promised phone call when Mom's marker was placed never came. We only found out it had been placed when we visited on Mother's Day. Second, it's the condition of some of the roads. There are some major potholes there. Third, the condition of the wooden cross at the cemetery's highest point is worrying. It is leaning severely to the north and looks like a strong wind could take it down. Half of the nuts and bolts that connect it to the concrete base via a steel bracket are missing, with some of them just laying next to it.

My review of Crown Hill Memorial park is ONLY for Jordan specifically. I have read numerous negative reviews about him which I totally disagree with. He was the ONLY staff person who was attentive, listened to my concerns and worked with me to resolve them. There had been a few occasions when I came to the business office to discuss my contract and was ignored by a couple of office staff who did not even acknowledge that I was standing there. Jordan was nothing but professional with me and assisted me with modifying a contract for a burial plot for my husband and which had been ridiculously overpriced for and included a high interest rate. Jordan helped us cancel the overpriced contract to a double mausoleum internment space. We have other family members interred at Crown Hill. Thanks to Jordan, the process went very smoothly. However, even though Jordan communicated the change to the corporate office, they never canceled the previous burial contract and applied my payments on the new contract to the canceled one. Jordan helped get this straightened out and advocated for me when corporate did not want to apply all the payments I made to the new contract. If it were not for his assistance I would have canceled the entire contract and purchased a plot at another cemetery. What people don't understand is that some tasks were outside his job description, yet he was blamed for some mistakes that he was not responsible for. I wish him well in all his future endeavors. Crown Hill's loss of Jordan as an employee is truly another organization's gain.

This review updated as of Aug 12, 2021 and is more positive. I understand that the chef and kitchen at St. Andrew’s at Francis Place are staffed up again, and dining services are back to normal with good quality meals. It still needs a few more permanent CNA’s, but those are now posted jobs and, meanwhile, there are professional contractors to fill in. Following the pandemic, this nursing facility, given its somewhat secluded location, lost relatively few patients (source: public data). All-in-all, this nursing facility is getting on its feet again.

Also, each month there is Resident Council Mtg where residents can voice their concerns and talk to management. By the way, the majority of the residents are teachers, educators, nurses, and other professionals who are quite articulate. Four stars because I wish there were more diverse enrichment activities for the residents (i.e. speakers, library books, in-house pets), but perhaps, with Covid restrictions lifting, that will improve in 2021-2022.

My mother is a new resident at Francis Place. My sister and I knew from the moment we walked in the door for our tour that this was a special community. My mother has had experience with several rehab facilities, from the classic nightmare nursing home to something much more "higher end." This is, by far, the best encounter we have had. The transition was very smooth because Vikki, the Director of Admissions, was there to answer any question and step in where needed. The staff is extremely helpful and caring. More importantly, there are sufficient numbers of them to make sure that each resident gets the care and attention that they need. My mother loves the activities, especially Bingo, and she is able to participate because the staff makes sure she gets there. She is much more socially engaged now than at her previous independent residence because, as her health declined, she could not get herself out. She is very happy at FP and loves her new home. We, as a family, are thrilled with her situation because, after the last few years of constant stress and worry, we know that she is safe and well-cared for. We would highly recommend Francis Place to anyone looking for a skilled nursing facility for a loved one.
