Green Acres Kayak Rental

This was beautiful little trip. This was our first time on the White Water river. The water was low, but easy to negotiate. (We are haven't had significant rain in a while). Folks were nice, they have shorts and water shoes to purchase. All very organized and professional!

Visited Green Acres Kayaking for my birthday and spent the day with family. Took my grandson and son on their first kayaking trip. We had a blast. River is nicely kept and the atmosphere is great. The staff is very friendly and answers any questions you have. We love this place and it is definitely one of our favorite summertime activities.

Green acres is a no hassle, no fuss kayaking rental company. For 2 summers I’ve been kayaking once a month with friends. You don’t have to make a reservation. They super fast, efficient, and friendly at the checkin and they have things for sale you might have forgotten, as well as some swag. You get driven to your put-in point so you end at where you parked.. which means you don’t have to wait for transportation at the end or ride in a bus while still wet. There are a lot of beaches to stop on, a snack shack (on weekends) half way through the trip, and a really cool and huge swimming hole in a cove. It may not be the best place for a person’s first time kayaking since instructions are quick and short, but I’m sure if someone wanted/needed more guidance that they would be more than willing to give it. The river is beautiful, and the water is almost always deep enough with minimal dragging.

I have been to multiple kayak rentals and I promise you Green Acres is hands down the best! The check in process is super smooth and fast. The ladies at the counter are always so nice! No reservations are required so you don’t have to pay any additional fees like other places I have been to.
After paying, you just grab a life jacket and hop on a bus that is already there waiting for you.
They take you on a short bus ride and we got right in the river in no time.
The river is super calm and crystal clear. Its also pretty shallow so I always feel safe which is nice. There was only 1 spot I thought we would drag but I was able to go around it with no problems.
Overall every trip has been so much fun! There are tons of beaches to stop and hang out at. There’s a little food shack on the water that had food, ice cream, and music. We also see tons of wildlife including the bald eagles and a beaver once. And as soon as you get back to your car at green acres, the staff is there waiting to grab your kayak and pull it up for you.

I’ve always had the perfect day with my friends and I will absolutely be back again and again!! Here’s some beautiful pictures from some of my trips. Highly recommend 😊
