Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation and Riverside Train

Kids had fun but we didn’t like the one and hour wait in the cold for 8 mins train ride…

We came here for the North Pole express and really enjoy our time. The train sets were set up and moving all around. The train ride was a neat experience. Dress warm! The train is small scale so be prepared to crouch off your an adult. They punch your ticket and you go around the track 2xs. Afterwards you can get snacks inside their warehouse filled with decorated Christmas trees. We did the ELF scavenger hunt as well. Will be a tradition from now on for our family

Somewhere you can learn about trains and memorabilia. See lots of model trains and complete towns and scenery around them. You can also ride a smaller scale train around the grounds. We did the Halloween train ride and the kiddos loved it. The Christmas train is just as fun. You can even get a T-shirt 👕 to help support trains.

This was a good little trip. There’s a little shop with some souvenirs and a working model train display/village with several tracks. There’s also like a little activity area near the 1/4 scale train tracks. Prepare to spend 30 minutes - 1.5 hours there. Had a wonderful time. Beautiful afternoon trip.

Great staff very knowledgeable. The pumpkin Fest was really cool great price for the train ride, pumpkins if your a big rail fan the Csx Toledo Sub tracks are across the field. While I was I ended up talking to two of the volunteers workers about 765 Nickel Plate and 1225 Per Marquette.
