  Hands down some of the best sushi I've ever had and I used to live in Southern CA. We try to sit at the sushi bar because you can watch the artists at work. Plus, the most comfortable bar chairs! Overall always a great experience!

  Man is this place Good! Probably the best sushi I've had in a long time. The place is very aesthetic as well. It feels homey and warm inside. Compared to other places that like to keep the aesthetic to the cliche black marble and dim lights, this place is the opposite where it's very light. You can see that in the design of the place with the way they used the light colored wood everywhere. It actually feels like a true sushi restaurant in Japan. Feels authentic. The fish tasted so fresh. The sushi was amazing!! So so so so GOOD! It's not overly priced either. I've had sushi at high end restaurants that charge an absurd amount of money for OK sushi. This place is UNBEATABLE and the prices are fair. I can tell this restaurant is very humble and let the food do the talking instead of clout and boujee like decor like other restaurants. Anyway blah blah blah just go eat here already (I drove out 1hour out to try this place and I do not mind driving out here again it's that good)

  I am from Japan so I know Sushi better than most of the people in this area. Overall food and service was good but we were disappointed about two things:
  1. Menu: They must have raised prices but put small sticky notes with not so pretty handwritten prices made us feel like a cheap place. This is not a cheap restaurant. Outside and a sign looked cheapy but inside was nice and spacious.
  2. Spicy Salad: We ordered "Spicy Salad" which should have included shrimp and octopus but there was none, only imitation crab and cucumber. I found out later that they must have served us "Kani Salad" and I don't like cucumber.
  
  Beer glasses were cold, and presentation was nice. "Scallop Nigiri" was pricy $10 but very good. "Dragon Roll" was not listed with cucumber but had cucumber. I don't like cucumber! I guess my expectation was too high by reading other people's reviews but we may try again.

  Despite its name and outside appearance, the inside of the restaurant is very pleasant. The food is above average. Sushi is not piled up with too much rice, fish were reported as fresh. The veggie sushi was good. Not a lot of veggie options on the menu.

  Great place. A tad pricey and the food took a long time but the quality made it worth the wait. I had scallop yaki sobe and a crab cucumber appetizer. Another had shrimp fried rice. Mother had beef fried rice. The other diner had shrimp teriyaki. We had a pot of very green green tea that tasted wonderful. All of the food was superb except the crunchy roll. I do not know what they used for the crunch but it had zero flavor. Everyone had enough to brings food home. We plan to return and try more. Oh and I would be remiss if I didn't say glowing things about the incredible staff. Friendliest I have seen in some time.
