Home Instead

My husband was diagnosed with cancer and I wanted to go to see our grandson out-of-state. Home Instead came in on four different occasions. They helped clean, helped my husband shower, changed sheets, took him to treatment and library program. Kim, Susan and Sandy were angels. Will definitely use them down the road.

In August of 2019 I retired and wanted to do something to continue to work with seniors. When I learned about Home Instead Senior Care in Elyria, I made a call and was interviewed the next day. Janelle and I had an enjoyable time during the interview and she lined up me to get my papers filled out, background check, and car insurance info. After new hire training, this 70+ woman was off and running and I have enjoyed every bit of my time with the Home Instead Senior Care franchise (Lorain County Senior Care). Owner Karin Kollar and her staff have been amazingly supportive. CAREgivers are treated with respect and appreciation. They provide incentives, birthday & anniversary recognitions, and are generous with bonuses and thank you gifts. The company considers client needs and CAREgiver's strengths before they send someone to a new home. There have been a number of CAREgivers that have recently been recognized for 10 years of service. I started too late for that to be a goal, but I do plan to continue to work for Home Instead as long as I am able. It give me such joy! I have attached a picture of my very first client. His daughter-in-law took it and his son gave me permission to use it.

If you are looking for a job in a caring friendly environment. Home Instead is the place for you the staff treat you like family, and are caring and understanding. Very flexible with your schedule. I love working here I can work while my kids are in school and still be home in time for them. And the clients are amazing everyday I learn something knew from them.

Working with HomeInstead has been the biggest blessing. My father had HomeInstead for years and I decided to apply as a caregiver. Was probably the best decision because I cannot imagine being with out them. The office team is absolutely wonderful and extremely supportive. I have never seen more of a professional and understanding team. i highly recommend HomeInstead.

Today is June 22, 2020. A year ago I made the above review. I appreciate Home Instead even more now. My mom recently celebrated her birthday and I and my family could not be with her, because of Covid-19. Lisa, Mom's caregiver, took pics and videos of Mom for my family. We felt as if we were there celebrating with her. I give Lisa and all of Home Instead 100 stars! Thank you Home Instead!
