West Bank Inn

It has an awesome view! But they need some small updates such as electrical outlets with USB charging ports. Maybe offering some muffins and such for breakfast. Rooms need attention by the maintenance dept. To fix details such as the main door handle to our room was loose.

rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, staff was friendly and very helpful. My husband and I are older and bathtubs are not for us so they gave us a room with a walk in shower very nice, want one for home now :) . Weather was windy and cold so didn't sit outside much but the picture window gave an excellent view of the lake. Enjoyed our stay look forward to booking with West Bank again

We came here early February. Mostly quiet, great location, right across the lake, and each room comes with a patio or balcony facing it. For four people we paid $85 plus $12 in taxes/fees, which has been cheaper than the dumpier name brand hotels we've stayed in thus far. No breakfast here but plenty of options in downtown Celena, and a decent italian restaurant across the parking lot.

My stay was for a week. The room was very clean, pleasant and they were able to accommodate our ADA accommodation (walk-in shower). The owners were extremely pleasant and accommodating. The view was wonderful and being from Florida, I saw pelicans and seagulls which was unexpected on a northern, freshwater lake. I will be visiting Ohio more frequently in the future and plan to stay at the West Bank Inn when in the area.

A great location at a great price! We were completely satisfied with this hotel that had a clean, spacious, and very comfortable room with a beautiful view of the lake.

The downtown is walking distance and there are plenty of restaurants nearby and, in fact, a nice Italian one across the parking lot! Sadly, we were there on a Monday night and most eating places were closed on Monday—I think that might not be the case during the summer season. We will be back in the summer!

My only criticism would be the lighting in the room. This blows me away when I get into a comfortable room and turn on the lights and they are the super bright white LED type with a color temperature that is very cold—think florescent lighting but worse because of the intensity. AND the sad thing is that, for the same price, you could use LED lighting with the same brightness that casts a warm temperature glow around 2700 that would mimic incandescent lighting that's warm and inviting. Since the sink is in the room, when you turn on the lights (and there are 6 of them across the mirror), you feel like you are in a Walmart parking lot at night. So easy to fix but some owners just don't see it.

The lighting did not damage our experience. We were not in there that much. We loved the place and will plan a trip back next year.
