  My experiences with Arpp, Root and Carter have been nothing but wonderful even under the most devastating times in my life. Myself and my family were shown compassion, warmth and even love. Kari has gone above and beyond for my family all with a warm smile and a gentle hug. My Father picked Arpp, Root and Carter for my Mother’s services because of her extraordinary work with Veterans, he was a proud Marine. Kari kept in touch with him, sent cards and was always asking about him, so when I called her about his sudden passing, she was right there and there is no other person I trusted more than Kari Daniel with my Daddy and Mama.

  Small community family owned funeral home that treats you as family. They have done both my parents, nephew, and they handled with grace, respect but yet was part of your grieving, and memories. Although a business you never sense that from the moment you walk in the door, you become family. Highly Recommend!

  My dad passed away very unexpectedly and I was given Kari name from a friend. I was lost on what to next and Kari helped my brother and myself in the right direction. I felt like I was helped by a good friend while planning my dad's funeral. Kari did amazing job caring for my dad and understanding what his wishes were. Absolutely felt like I was family.

  My family has been using this funeral home for many many decades & recently I lost my Grandmother. I Could never express my gratitude to Kari & her staff. They honestly go above & beyond for you & your loved one. From making decisions to planning as easy as possible on you. I only have great things to say about Arpp & Root & Carter they've only gotten better as the years have pasted. Thank you again for everything Kari & Staff

  Kari was great! She was very caring and understanding. She is very passionate about helping families that are grieving. We had a great experience with Arpp, Root & Carter! They took great care of our Grandma and met all of our needs. Highly recommended!

Jun 25, 2023. James Allen Brooks, age 81 of Dayton OH passed away peacefully at the Dayton VA Medical Center. He was born in Gary, IN to the late Joe and Betty (Clemons) Brooks and was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. James will be laid to rest at the Dayton National Cemetery with military honors on July 27, 2023 at 9:00am.
