English Manor Bed and Breakfast

When you step through the door it is like walking through a time machine that takes you back to 1924. Everything in the house is period correct and frozen in time - from the candlestick phone and working cast-iron radiators to the original lighting and plumbing fixtures - everything I remember at my grandparent's house. And the breakfast..last time I had anything close was in a 100+ year old hotel in England. Amazing experience!

We had our wedding and reception here and everything was absolutely perfect. Julie worked so hard for us (and on her birthday!) and made sure every detail was accounted for. We had almost 60 guests and she served delicious food and beverages. Everyone seemed to have a really nice time. I was able to check-in early and get ready in the Schieble room, which was so nice for pictures and we stayed there the night of the wedding. We also had some wedding guests stay at the B&B as well and they loved the hospitality so much, I wouldn't be surprised if they book with Julie and Larry again. Breakfast was delicious in the morning! English Manor was the perfect venue for our wedding and I couldn't have asked for a better place and better people to create such a wonderful day.

What a blast from the past. I grew up playing and exploring here. My Grandpa and Grandma Jack and Marilyn used to own the place and we'd come visit from Cincinnati. It's so cool to see the photos and how similar it still looks! So many memories!

I had a baby shower for my sister-in-law over the weekend, and it was one of the nicest events I've ever had! I hate to take credit for any of the planning because Julie was the one who made it special. We did the afternoon English tea party, and everything was phenomenal from start to finish. The food was delicious, the tea was wonderful, and Julie was so gracious and kind to all of us - not to mention, the house itself is a gem, gorgeous inside and out. We had a great time and I will definitely be spreading the word that English Manor is not only a great bed and breakfast, but a fantastic place to host a party!

Out of the Ordinary
We spent Thanksgiving weekend at this marvelous Bed & Breakfast. If you want something personal, comfy and out of the ordinary, stay here. This B&B is wonderful and run by the nicest couple, Julie and Larry Chmiel. It is in a great location, within walking distance from the quaint downtown area of Miamisburg, near all kinds of shops, restaurants, bars and breweries. We ate in the downtown area every night and walked back to the B&B after 10 pm and felt perfectly safe. The rooms are large and spacious and the best thing is the breakfast each morning. Julie also has a catering business so she cooked marvelous omelettes, French toast and Eggs Benedict for our meals. Yum! Yum! Great place.
