This is a nice park. I went here while visiting the National Museum of the US Air Force and was satisfied with my experience. This park contains several memorials to fallen soldiers from various wars. This park also has beautiful grounds and plenty of trees. I walked through the part that had memorials to soldiers who died in WWII while fighting in Germany. I gave this park five stars because it has nice memorials.
This is a lively space to enjoy lunch you bring with you- since you can't bring outside food in.
The trees and shade offer a quiet and cool atmosphere. Every time we visit we stop and look at a different monument, or other item. You could spend hours here in this space alone.
Difficult to describe the feelings one gets seeing so many death memorials next to Fortune 500 sponsor plates and The USAF National Museum of heroism. Easy to spend a half day just reading the memorials to the pilots, crews, co-pilots, navigators, crew chiefs, commanders, etc...that fill the dedication murals here. Solemn location that most likely should be further away from the donation focused heroism and t-shirt museum of hangers and heroic galleries.
Huge green area just outside of the Air Force Museum. There are many, many monuments here. You could spend a lot of time checking them out. But after an exhausting day at the museum, you might want to pass.
This is a truly remarkable park that is right out front of the United States Air Force Museum. It has a ton of extraordinary veteran monuments, statues and memorials. It even has a few benches and a shelter with picnic tables if you want to sit outside the museum. I highly recommend you check this place out if you are in the area.
