Avenue at Aurora Care and Rehabilitation Center

Can’t thank Amber enough, she was so friendly and helpful through the hospice experience with my sister. They recommended serenity hospice as they were there regularly for others etc. unfortunately they still have pretty stringent covid policies that we all understand as these are our most vulnerable. So we got in trouble a couple of times for too many people in and out of there as she was well known in the area and church. But my sister told me one day that it was the best decision to come there as all of her friends could come by due to being so close. I have done IT work at these type facilities before and always dreaded it. This place however had no smell whatsoever and you could tell they kept it really clean as well as the patients. We came in one afternoon and a guy was playing guitar in the main area and had quite a crowd. Big wide hallways, nice rooms and compassionate staff.

We are in and out of the facility as a hospice agency. Our patients are always cared for and clean. And they are always happy. Even through the pandemic they seem to find ways to make their residents enjoy their day. The administrator Karen always communicates with our team, as well as the rest of the care staff. We do not hesitate referring any of our patients for respite care or long term care here!

We just moved my mother-in-law into Avenue at Aurora and she loves everything about it. The staff and administration are friendly and caring. From the moment we walked through the front door and saw 'Welcome Home' to the incredible holiday parties. They take pride in everything they do and do it because they love the people they care for. We know we made the right choice and our loved one is in the best possible place. Thank you to everyone at Avenue at Aurora. WE are so lucky to have found this place.
