Having had experience with another funeral home in the area that wasn't so good, I recently used Carlson in Garrettsville and the experience was outstanding. The staff is always available, efficient and most importantly their empathy is off the charts fantastic. I would highly recommend them.

Carlsons is absolutely amazing. I lost my mother unexpectedly and tragically and they were right there helping and guiding me and my brothers every step of the way. Planning a funeral was something nobody wants to do, but Dr. Mike and Jami took the burden away and gave my mom a beautiful service. I spoke at my mom’s services and Dr. Mike was right there guiding me through. There are no words I could ever express how grateful I am for them.

I want to say “Thank You” to the entire staff at Carlson Funeral Home. You provided us with compassion, understanding and patience as we dealt with the loss of our dad. We first met Trish the morning he passed away and her thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated. Later that afternoon we had a consultation with Patrick and Christina followed by several emails with questions as other family members arrived. The following morning a second meeting with Patrick and Christina to address any remaining questions and concerns. “Kudos To You Both”, I know we asked a lot of you!! From the initial meetings to the family and friends visitation to the closing service, we Greatly Appreciate all you did.

I would like to write a BIG Thank You to Carlson Funeral Home. Last Month, we hired them to handle the affairs of my grandfather's passing. I don't normally take the time to write reviews but the entire staff was such a blessing to us during such a difficult time.

Trish, Thank you for being such a sweetheart. You not only recognized the stress that my family was under while my grandfather was sick and we came in to pre-plan the funeral but you were amazing throughout the entire process from beginning to end. Your patience and compassion was truly felt and remembered.

Dr. Mike, thank you for making the initial consultation after my grandfather passed heartfelt and easier than it could have been. Thank you for the lovely service and really taking the time to get to know who my grandpa was. You told a beautiful story of his life. Also, thank you for surprising my father with the airplane that you found to put in the floral display. It's the little things that make the biggest difference.

Greg, thank you for taking such great care of my grandfather and making him look so wonderful. Also, thank you for being there during the visitation as well.

Christina, thank you for meeting with me and creating such a beautiful video of my grandfather's life. You were working quickly behind the scenes making sure everything was getting done and handling all the details. Thank you for texting me in the evenings and responding to my questions and concerns. Thank you to Ed, John, Debra, Amy and the rest of the staff for being there during the visitation and traveling all the way to Pennsylvania for the ceremony. Everyone was so accommodating and helpful.

Thank you for allowing our children to play football in the yard during the visitation and allowing us to "be at home".

A few years ago, I assisted in planning my uncle's funeral in Mantua and our experience was not nearly as enjoyable. It was actually quite frustrating and we did not feel that the staff was there to serve. We appreciate your business and your staff. Thank you again...
