(May 30, 2019, 3:25 pm)Classic Akron Bar in Akron's Ellet neighborhood. Friendly crowd, sometimes older just after work but usually gets younger as evening goes on. Best nights are Thursdays (all domestic bottles $1 until 9pm) and Tuesdays, with specials and a fun Karaoke crowd; lots of fun. Good Happy Hour specials, and food is good, even as kitchen is in transition. ANY ONE of the bartenders here is equal to, or better than, three bartenders you'd find anyplace else, in terms of service, attentiveness and personality. Neat Tiki bar out front, with a small patio; a nice place to relax, watch the sunset and check out the planes flying into the airport. Great view of the Rubber Bowl ruins, too--very scenic...just imagine it's the Colosseum in Rome...
