  I have lived in this facility for over 4 years and I am very happy. The staff, especially Michael and Debbie, have really made this feel like a home. Max the administrator is incredible. He was the administrator where I used to live and I have never had a negative experience with him. I would recommend you bring your loved ones here!

  I have seen the positive and compassionate way that the nurses and staff have treated the residents at Altercare Western Reserve. One resident, who was such a loving, caring and compassionate woman comes to mind. Her name was Marylou. Marylou was one of the first residents to come to Altercare when it first opened. She was pleased with her care knowing that her medical needs were being met. She also loved the activities that were provided and participated in mostly everything that was offered, especially Bingo! Her spiritual care was being met by church services, Bible studies and individual visits by the Pastoral staff. She is dearly missed. ❤️

  Unexpected stay for my 51 year old non-verbal sister with intellectual and developmental disabilities who has lived in a group home with her peers for 33+ years. Unfortunately, her arrival at Altercare Western Reserve in May has turned in to more of a long term stay. I am grateful she is safe and receives the medical attention she requires. She is seen by her physician 3x/week. Having to navigate unchartered territory has been difficult, however, the residents and staff at Altercare Western Reserve have made a not so pleasant reason for being as comfortable and as pleasant as can be - for now, it is her home away from home.
  
  The staff has provided quality, compassionate care despite staffing issues. Max, Administrator, is present and has a pulse on the entire community - administrative staff, residents, nursing, housekeeping, maintenance, food service, activities. Donna & Ann, Reception, greet all entering/exiting and are knowledgeable and willing to help and assist with anything when necessary. John and Debbie, 100/200 nurses, are excellent and truly care for each and every patient as if they are family members. Damon, night nurse, as well as Tiffany W. and Shayna, nurses who work days and nights, provide excellent care and comfort to all. Kurt, STNA, as well as other aids (Essence) do their best given long hours and have brought so much joy to my sister and other residents it has been truly beautiful to watch their interactions and see smiling faces! All are dedicated to patient care and the well-being of each resident.
  
  Areas for improvement: Altercare employee retention to reduce need for agency nursing staff ; consistent, thorough cleaning of resident rooms, dining rooms; timeliness with meals.

  My stay at Altercare in the 300 hall was a very good experience, the aides are empathic and caring and respond to requests in a timely manner. Most of them! The nurses are very professional and friendly. The facility is clean and very comfortable. Therapy was effective in helping improve my condition. I would recommend to anyone.

  My mother-in-law was at this facility in April for two weeks. Therapy was excellent, creative and focused. The caring and kind nurse aides catered to all her needs. In addition the food far exceeded our expectations for a nursing home. Thank you to all the caring and kind staff at Altercare western Reserve.
