Really nice hiking trails that are well maintained. Lots of wildlife and beautiful views of the river. Trails loop around and there is plenty of parking.
Came upon these stone structures just padt the brigde beyond the gorge trail
One of my favorite places to walk. Great place to hike, fish, picnic, take photos and even collect fossils. The trail around the gorge itself isn't that long. There is another trail off the bridge that is a mile. There is a picnic shelter, a couple picnic tables in different areas and some benches on a lookout area. There are restrooms and plenty of parking. Very peaceful and a great place to relax and take in the surroundings.
Haven't explored the entire park yet, but what I have is pretty great so far. The creek is a good spot to catch Largemouth and Walleye/Sauger (can't tell the difference to be honest).
The trail I walked had some trees fallen over it and disappeared at certain points, but you can't really get lost if you have the creek in your sight. The fossil fields look interesting as well, though I haven't spent any time in them myself. I have however found some fossils in the creek bed. Nothing stunning but definitely fun to find.
Nearby Caesars Creek Flea Market is a good place to bring some time as well.
Good place to spend a day.
It has a nice trail. Some gravel, dirt, and grass covered. Between 2 and 3 miles, most of it shaded. Ceasar Creek runs among past of the trail. Wide paths, no problem keeping 6ft when passing others. Also no dogs.
