Dr. Bevers has been my PCP for only 1-2 years. I switched due to insurance and my old PCP got too busy. Dr. Bevers listens to my complaints. I told him I was having back pain and he asked if I wanted him to x-ray it and since I had never had a spine x-ray before, I said yes and he discovered that I had a huge staghorn calculus (kidney stone with branches like an elk's horns) on my left kidney, and he referred me to a specialist. If I hadn't mentioned my back pain, and if he hadn't been willing to obtain an x-ray, I would never have known about it. I appreciate his being willing to order x-rays and/or tests to get to the bottom of things.
Dr. Bevers is my primary care physician and has been for several years. I visit one to three times per year, on average, and generally have no complaints. There are times recently when phone coverage seems spotty; I think they probably lost someone on the admin staff and are shorthanded in that area. Wait times at appointments don't seem to be affected, though, and are never very long. His manner is professional and -- with me, at least -- not unnecessarily flowery, which is exactly what I want in a medical professional.
I think his pricing may be on the upper end of the spectrum, but my insurance insulates me from that and, as with anything in the American healthcare sector, it's hard to say for sure.
I've always been satisfied with the quality of care and my interactions with him and his staff, and I'd quickly recommend him to a friend or anonymous internet passerby.
