Whenever I see Dr. Kirsch, which is quarterly, he along with my Nephrologist monitor my ESRD with the professionalism of the doctors at the Mayo Clinic, Phoenix, AZ.
I travel through out the US and am extremely happy that I have Dr. Kirsch monitoring my health and working with my specialist in OKC and AZ.
For the patient with the broken hips. Giving Dr. Kirsch a single star in the reviews because he is following the law of the state.
In no way can he call in a prescription for pain meds (narcotic meds).
The medical profession must write a prescription, hand it to the patient or their representative accompanying the patient.
The patient then must take it to a pharmacy that will fill that prescription. It’s getting extremely difficult to locate a pharmacy to do that. Anyway, why aren’t you visiting your Orthopedic doctor for your broken hips and bones. A General Practice doctor may be able to afford you sympathy but is ill suited to treat your bones. Your Orthopedic Surgeon would be the one to write your pain medication scripts and only if it’s warranted. You just can’t bounce around to different doctors and expect them to give you pain meds. They and pharmacies are wired together and will not duplicate scripts.
I have to agree with your complaints about the hospital getting X-ray, CT Scans and other test sent to the doctors medical facility. Seems you have to stay in contact with the dr’s office staff so they can badger the testing facility to send them across the parking lot.
    The bottom line is:
You are just one of the patients of hundreds the Dr. treats. Be decent, greet with a smile and don’t demand. Works great with the rest of the staff as well.
The receptionist are the front line and have to try and help the sick to see the Doctors.
Put yourself in their place and have to greet 20 - 30 miserable patients first thing in the morning and besides being ill, and half are not morning people and they want you to jump through hoops by demanding this or that, their insurance won’t cover or lit lapsed, they blame the receptionist. So get off your high horse and afford them a smile and a good morning, afternoon or whatever. Try to say a sincere thank you, because they too are really trying to help you and be civil regardless of the patients attitude.

Dr Kirsch is an amazing Dr. He listens and helps you in every way he can. Him and his nurse, Loni, are the best I've ever been to.
