  Al is great to work with. I showed up to his shop without an appointment and he sat down with me and helped me design my new kitchen. He is very knowledgeable and professional.

  I found Al's website while doing an internet search for carpenters and low-and-behold he had pictures posted of my kitchen cabinets being installed in our house back while it was under construction (we are the second owners). My wife mainly selected our house because of the kitchen, so I was really interested in having Al build a built in desk for my study. He took my rough drawings and turned them into my ideal desk that I spend a lot of time using. He handled all the work himself from the making of the cabinets, to applying a great paint job, to ordering and customizing the composite desktop, to the installation of it all. I found Al to be a straight shooter and I enjoyed dealing with him. He's probably not the cheapest out there, but his rates are reasonable, and I believe you get what you pay for with him. I would recommend Al, and would use him again when the need arises.

  I worked with a custom cabinet maker in my youth, so I know quality construction and design when I see it. I came to Al with a kitchen design already in place, but he helped me make it even better with updated design and technology. I wanted lots of tray drawers instead of lower cabinets you have to reach back into to get that pan or dish you hardly ever use and his designs easy accommodated this. I loved his use of varying cabinet heights and depths to accent his use of crown mold at the top and getting rid of that ugly useless soffet. My kitchen has only an 8' ceiling, so it really helped to open up the space.
  
  Al can give you any counter top you desire from Formica to Granite depending on your needs, budget and wishes. He was a great help in choosing something durable, cleanable, and healthful. His cabinets are rugged and durable and come complete with a beautiful variety of styles and finishes. A walk through his display room just starts the conversation rolling to help you get what you truly want for your project. He is patient and helpful and seems to have seen it all. You won't get to the end of your project and say, "Gee. I wish I had known about that."
  
  Al does not cut corners. He makes sure the t's are crossed and the i's are dotted so your cabinets go in without a hitch. And best of all, he is there when he says he will be there and you will pay the price agreed upon. No extras. No hidden fees.

  The Carpenter Shop installed solid surface counter tops in my home probably ten years ago. They have performed beautifully over the years, always looking nice. Part of the Carpenter Shop guarantee is that he will come out and polish the counter tops for free at any time after installation. Recently because I am selling my home, I had him come out to polish them again. He came out, no questions asked, and the counters look brand new again. I would highly recommend the Carpenter Shop and solid surface counters.
