The Center at Heron Hill offers equine therapy, EMDR, and other forms of therapy. Although it might be a bit of a drive, the landscape is beautiful with some amazing animals on site. I have gotten to know Ivy Katz and other staff, who have all been lovely to work with. Ivy is laid back and compassionate. They also take insurance and I believe take OHP (how amazing is that?!). If you are seeking out a therapist I highly recommend setting up a consult with someone at The Center At Heron Hill! Also, for those of you in therapy, if you love your therapist, I encourage you to write a positive review! Negative reviews are much more common for therapists and clinics to receive. So help get the word out and help boost SEO so that clinics get some visibility.

Okay people, this place is awesome! to listen to the few negative reviews would be a disservice to the personal wellness opportunities this place can offer you! Its a shame that the few people (likely difficult personalities...one person alone left 3 separate negative reviews but has a history of leaving several negative reviews for businesses, so this person is probably one that is just unhappy in life in general) can influence others in any way. I work at a pediatricians office the next town over and this is our “go to” referring agency for our children, youth and family patients. In addition, I have a referred many of my personal friends and family to this agency, and not one of them has had anything less than a stellar experience! Even their student interns are awesome...They have a lot to prove so have extra passion in the work that they are doing. Management and administration has always been exceptionally responsive. Sometimes there can be a wait, but this is to be expected with how popular and unique they are, but the wait is worth it! Out of all the agencies we work with, they seem to be the most organized and informative (they have a really good website that informs us of their current wait times and requesting an appointment is easy through their online form). Anyways, no one is perfect, so I am sure there will be a one-off of occasional frustrations with scheduling, communication for some people, etc. but this place is beautiful and they care...totally worth it!

This place is truly amazing and is unlike any place out there. They even have Equine Therapy where you get to pet and spend time with the horses (no riding, as they are all rescues that came from not the best situations). They also have a really neat "Coping Skills" session, Yoga Therapy (alone or in a group), and more. The Goats are so funny and cute to hang with, too. And the Pot Belly pigs are hilarious! They also have Ponies, or Mini Horses (not sure which). The land that they have is amazing, too. Quite a big area for walking around on the nice trails. They have a nice garden area with a fire pit (covered) and many nice spots to be outside. And if you prefer you can stay inside, but part of the experience is walking around and being next to animals. That's what's so amazing about this place. It truly is special and I very highly recommend going if you are at all interested. I have OHP & I fully qualify for my counseling sessions. They are quite popular, so call & get on their waiting list. That's what I did and they ended up getting me in way sooner that I expected. Totally worth the drive to Canby, too, if you're not too close (I live in Gresham & I'd drive even further if I had to). Thanks for reading, have a great rest of your day! (FYI: Natalie is my favorite person who works there!) ;)
