Me and my family had such a wonderful adventure here.
And the nature here was just so breathtakingly beautiful. There are certain areas where you will find the most beautiful viewpoints ever.
you can see so much for so many miles.
The nature out here is just so peaceful and filled with beauty.
Looking forward to coming back for more beautifull memories with my family.

The Table Rock Wilderness is an oasis of deep forest surrounded by a sea of clearcuts and forest re-growing after past timber harvests. In the summer of 1973 a group of high school students participating in the Youth Conservation Corps sponsored by the Salem District of the Bureau of Land Management began the work of carving a trail out of the wilderness starting at the edge of a logging road. On days bathed in glorious sunshine and others drenched in torrential Pacific Northwest rains the crews of teenager hiked up the trail each morning tools in hand to move boulders, slash through the underlying vegetation, and find ways to snake a footpath up and up the steep hillsides heading to a massive talus slope at the foot of Table Rock. One black bear was surprised in the berry patches along the trail - deer wandered through the trailwork areas - and pikas peeped daily at the intruders building a trail that would ultimately provide the impetus to preserve this area as wilderness. In 1973 the trail was built up to the saddle between Rooster Rock and Table Rock. In the winter of 1973-74, a couple of us trail builders made an intrepid attempt to snowshoe to the top of Table Rock in the midst of a raging snowstorm... We were turned back by a blizzard that nearly stranded us up the logging road to the trailhead. In 1974, another group of YCC'ers couldn't work on the trail due to a massive snowfall that buried the Cascades that winter and spring. I worked at a teen-age participant in those summers and then, in the summer of 1975, a third YCC group finished the trail at the crest of Table Rock on an amazing sunny day with Mt. Jefferson and Mt. Hood looking on. What an amazing place.

I finally got around to hiking to Table rock. If you have your head resting firmly on your shoulders this trail is easy to figure out. Its one heck of an adventure scaling across rocks at times and all of the lovely views. We found some awesome areas to explore, the flowers and wildlife were out and very beautiful. I loved every second of it. Take two water bottles a flash light and snacks for every person and thats all you really have to worry about during the summer months! And I say bring a flash light because I encountered several groups going up later in the day and I feared for their safety as it was getting darker the trails are narrow in many places with drops lol. Its mostly up hill the whole way so be prepared. On the way back we did some trail running to top off the hike. We started at 11:30 anf made our way back to the car at inst. We ate lunch and took a few breaks so this isnt a point A to point B time frame haha! Will be doing again!

We went in June and it was cooler up there for sure, but it was perfect because the hiking heated us up quite a bit. We were all still sweating a descent amount. The views are fantastic and the trail is clear and quite visible. There was only one part where we had a question of where the trail was, but we found it pretty easy. It was during a rock avalanche crossing part of the hike. Would recommend!
