  Dr. Houston and her Allstar team are the best in the business. We drive 40 miles each way to be under their care. Our little dog is grumpy and not approachable nor grateful but they always manage to coax him into participating with their care. Everyone is there for their love of animals it seems and they’ve only been patient, kind and super professional. We’re moving out of the country and importing our dog into Australia (not easy) but Barlow Trail has knocked it out of the park. 10 stars if I could. We love Barlow Trail!!!

  Dr. Houston is a very caring and extraordinary vet! We have taken all our dogs to her and they love her. It is a difficult time for vets right now with their costs going up and with finding competent assistants. And, yes, she is a little more expensive than some vets, but you get what you pay for!
  She clearly loves her patients and treats them with love an care no matter how difficult they can be, like our 120 pound Great Pyrenees!

  I have a cat who needs more care than the traditional cat. Dr. Houston and her team have been very accommodating with getting my cat in and are always so kind. Like many vet clinics they are struggling with staffing and with the surge of people buying/adopting pets during COVID and needing vet services. Their phones are constantly ringing off the hook and there is always a steady flow of people in and out of the building. Their ability to keep a level head and positive attitude with these conditions is impressive. I wish there was more understanding from people who feel their needs are not being met in regards to scheduling and having to pay a deposit to secure their pet a spot for a same day visit. Barlow Trail is offering same day services that many vet clinics are not offering, and it’s worth the deposit to make sure your pet is seen and taken care of. I love the team here and will continue to come back.

  I do not know what has happened to all the veterinarians post covid but it is refreshing to be back with a clinic that can see you during an emergency if they can fit it in. As of this writing, you are also allowed to come into the clinic to help calm your pet. I left our former vet of 15 years due to still having to sit in the parking lot during visits, and multi months long waits to be seen. So this clinic is great for a more customer and pet friendly experience. Even better - Dr. Houston is the best vet I have ever worked with. She is the only Doctor currently at the clinic so she is insanely busy. Despite that, she is patient, friendly, and pet focused. You would not know that she is caring for the case load of the entire clinic. She has treated 2 of our anxious dogs, and 1 stressed out cat. My cat was rubbing his head on her immediately. I have never seen him react so warmly with a new person let alone a vet!
  The staff is kind and hard working as well. You can tell they like animals. Follow up is prompt. Parking for the clinic is easy, and the location is also good.

  Dr Houston is a amazing veterinarian! She takes the time with each animal and explains everything that’s going on to the owners. She is a caring and kind doctor. She has lots of experience with treating rabbits and exotics as well as dogs and cats. I can’t say enough good things about this office. All the staff are kind and professional.
  
  To those who expect never to wait at a veterinarian’s office….you must never have had an animal before make a visit to a veterinarian. I experienced this recently at Dr. Houston’s office. A gentleman was very grumpy and angry because he had an appointment to get to but had made an emergency appointment for his animals. You should never have a conflicting meeting on a day that your animal is needing care! It’s just a fact when you take your animals to a great veterinarian who cares about each animal, you are going to have to wait! I would rather wait and get good care then get in to see a veterinarian who isn’t going to care and rushed through the exam.
  
  This office is a blessing to the Sandy/Estacada/Hoodland area! Thank you Dr Houston and staff! We appreciate each of you so much!
