The owners are incredibly friendly and wonderful people. We spent two nights for an Iyengar yoga retreat. The place was modern, clean, and well maintained. The food was very good. There are several places where you can rest and enjoy your favorite book. There is also WiFi available but the service is slow and not very stable. Our bed had a really soft mattress which my back didn't like. Fortunately the yoga practice was able to make my spine happy again.
If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. Absolutely beautiful grounds. It was a perfect spot for 8 friends to hang out, take some amazing bicycle rides, and recharge with showers, hot soak, awesome food. Glen and Sandy are the best.
I just returned from my second Bonfire yoga retreat at the Coastal Mountain Sport Haus. In addition to the yoga retreat, I enjoyed arriving by bicycle and going on a bike ride with the host on scenic logging roads. This Haus is a first class lodge with very welcoming hosts conveniently located a short bike ride away from the Banks Vernonia State Trail.
Wonderful place to stay and even better hosts with Glen and Sandy. They are especially in tune with the needs of cyclists, but even if you are not a cyclist, be sure to add this B&B to your list. My wife and I have stayed there twice and plan on staying many more times when we are on a cycling tour and even if we are using more motorized means of travel.
KUDOS many times over....

This is fantastic place to stay! I really enjoyed my long weekend here. I used it as a base camp to explore the local roads on my bike. Sandy and Glen were amazing hosts and guides. The food (prepared by Sandy) was top notch and Glen makes a mean cappuccino. The soaking pool is a must, so is a simple walk out into the pasture to watch the cattle and lay in the grass. Depending on how you get out there and your level of fitness, you can ride here from Portland in about 3-5 hours. highly recommended!
