One of my favorite parks in town. Mini nature walk, children’s playground, an off-leash dog area and a soccer/baseball field. As a mom of a toddler I’m specifically interested in toddler friendly playground. My little one loves it here. It has a little sand box area and someone had a left a few toy trucks so the children can play with. I think that was my little ones favorite thing. Seems like a safe area/neighborhood , not in a busy street. We take public transportation and this park was not too far from Bus#75 ,just a few blocks.
Really gorgeous and large park my only complaint is the wood chips dog park. We absolutely hate the whole wood chip design for dog parks. It's disgustingly dirty, smelly, and sticks to dogs and clothing. I hope the city removes them one day and just maintains grass or something else for the dog area.
I mainly use the park for the dog park area. Its not an inclosed area but the main hang out area is a good distance from the street. There is a nice bath around the whole park, a cool looking kid area & field for more running room.
This was one of my favorite childhood parks.
There is a dog park, bathrooms, playground, picnic tables, and sports field.
The playground is a combination of older structure as well as a newer playground addition. There are some logs and large rocks that create a bit of nature play.
It was very clean and we'll maintained, saw no signs of homeless or vandalism (as of July 2022).
Lots of kids with parents, very busy at the playground with mostly younger kids.
There are lots of trucks and toys available in the sand area.
The park is super level and some paths are paved, others are gravel/bark chip. I think it's a great park for young bike riders.
Tall trees cover most of the park providing lots of shade.
Parking is all on the street, however I have never had trouble finding parking (on week days, weekends might be busier during sports seasons).
