I have been a member of this church for over 40 years. Always feel welcome -whether dropping off clothing, helping with set up and distribution, giving blood, muffin delivery or Sunday service. Several groups meet in the building with many opportunities for all ages to become involved in year round.
As new members, we experienced a sense of love and friendship from our very first day. Pastor Clay presents the message in an enjoyable and knowledgeable way that is very meaningful to us. HUMC is a place that serves all people of our community. As a reconciling ministry, all are welcome. We are very happy to be a part of the HUMC church family.
After many years of not attending church due to being disenfranchised by hypocrisy and judgment of other churches, we gave this church a try. We fell in love! It is full of the most generous giving and caring people you will ever meet. They are doing Jesus’ work here in our community. They offer food, clothing, support groups, homeless outreach, and so much more. If you want to be part of this wonderful community, give this place a try.
I have attended this church for most of my life and I am so happy to be continuing to attend with my children. The work the church does in the community and the feeling of family with new and old attendees are some of the reasons my family loves HUMC.
Nicely built community church building located in a traditional suburban neighborhood. The inner space accommodates many public functions, including both religious and civil group activities. I happened to visit there for a benefit concert whose proceeds were donated to a good public cause. It was a very pleasant and quality event, not specifically tied to one religion or anther. In addition, the basement space is available for smaller group meetings where more privacy is desired. Overall, good accessibility and friendly community center.
