  We had Mr. Martz reupholster 3 antique rockers. He was pleasant to work with, and the rockers were completed in a timely manner. They initially looked beautiful. A few weeks later, I noticed that the back fabric on the one rockers seemed to be loose and sagging. Soon after, I noticed why the fabric was loose: the fabric on the back of the rocker had detached from the chair and was coming off. Upon further investigation, I noticed that Mr. Martz had not used any sort of support or webbing in the open back of the chair. He had simply covered the open back with upholstery fabric and stuffing. There was no support to hold the weight of someone sitting in the chair which caused the back fabric to detach. — No worries, everyone makes mistakes. I took photos of the rocker and the damage and sent them to Mr. Martz inquiring as to what could be done to remedy the damage. I received no response. I sent the photos again. No response. I have called countless times and left numerous messages. No response. It has been months, and after receiving no response from him, my husband and I are left with having to pay another reupholstering company to do the job correctly. In my experience it seems that Mr. Martz does not stand by his workmanship. In our situation, he did not even attempt to communicate with us in order to reach a resolution. This displays poor customer service. I will not be using or recommending his services.
