I must admit I'm a little shocked by all the negative reviews.
I just got off the phone with someone from admin who picked up immediately after the automated "our numbers have recently changed" business. Very pleasant to talk to, more than willing to send my refill request back to the psych Dr. She asked if I was completely out of meds. I said yes and she gently reminded me that that I should call 3 days ahead of time so they can process this and make sure I don't have any withdrawal symptoms.

I said no, no big deal; I'm sure they have others they need to worry about; it's just an ADHD med and I won't die without it.
Should I send through mail order or the pharmacy at Giant?
Well could I get it 3 month supply if I chose mail order like I get with my other meds?
I can look into it and ask Nicole, but it's a controlled substance so probably won't go through mail order as 3 month supply, just one month.

I've had been officially diagnosed with adult ADHD by a neuro-psychiatrist in 2008. I chose a non-Wellspan psych to talk about getting meds (as suggested) and it was like pulling teeth for him to give me some; didn't seem to believe in adult ADHD.
When I moved down to Adams County from Mechanicsburg I chose a PCP in the Wellspan network and mentioned the ADHD. He sent me to see Nichole at Philhaven. She's been great. I talked about the ADHD situation and she agreed saying it was blatantly obvious by merely observing me; she wasn't even going to have me retested.
She immediately recommended a beginning dosage of ADHD med saying I should let her know if it was working or not. I left her office, stopped by the checkout desk, spoke with nice admin, got a date for the next appointment, boom. Done.
The rest of my interactions with them have been nothing unusual; no drama admin would check me in, pleasant nurse would take me back and take my vitals, I'd get sent back to wait in waiting room, after reading a short magazine article taken back for visit. No big deal.
I've actually been a pleasantly surprised with all the health care providers in the Wellspan network. I had been hesitant of negative comments I've heard in the past, but I have absolutely nothing but positive things to say about them. Seriously, I've been surprised. I get call backs, reminders, "hand-holding" through multiple surgeries with different practices, even out-of-network brain surgery conducted up at (PennState Hershey).
I'm not calling BS on the other reviewers (I feel terrible for them) but there might be an overwhelming skew to the negative here with a lack of normal/positive reviews. So keep that in mind when you make your health care decisions. I wouldn't avoid Wellspan Philhaven because of these negative reviews; check it out yourself. If you have a good experience let people know and give it a positive review here. But if you do have a bad health experience by all means let people know about it.

All of the interactions I have had with Staff and Doctors from Philhaven have been well delivered and pleasant. Treatment I have received from the professionals here have had positive results and the people whom I have worked with here always show genuine concern for my well being . I only give 4 stars , because everyone everywhere always has room for improvement.
I have been seeing Kim Griffin for about 8 years at Wellspan Behavioral Health in Gettysburg. She is the most caring, trustworthy psychiatric practitioner I have ever met (and I have seen quite a few!). Even when I lived in Baltimore, I would still drive to see Kim. I currently live in Maryland and STILL drive to see Kim! She truly listens to my thoughts and takes them seriously; if I suggest we try something else, we do! The staff is also very responsive to messages sent through their Patient Portal.
My only negatives would be that the waits are long. I usually see Kim about a half hour past my appointment time; this doesn't bother me as I need to take a full day off to see Kim (seriously, I will keep seeing her until she tells me to go elsewhere or decided to stop practicing!)
Sometimes, it takes a while to get through to a Nurse, but I expect that due to high call volumes.
In total, while I can't speak for the other practitioners, I highly recommend Kim Griffin as a mental health practitioner.
