Eliza Fox Trail Park

Great trail for off leash. Must have FOX Chapel Borough sticker to park on old mill rd. No sticker, no problem. Park at Beachwood Farms and access trail from top.

This trail is a great connector to the Beechwood Farms trail system. The many stream crossings allow people to look at the local Pennsylvanian aged geology, and look at local wildlife. I once saw a box turtle here. Another comment mentioned the off-leash dogs, and I only had one negative experience but that was with a dog owner who didn't have control of their dog. I don't think that negatively affected my view of the trail though.

Nice trail although not a loop. Also, not sure how advisable it is to let your dog off-leash when there are no fences and nearby homes?

Beautiful and quiet with the sound of the stream it follows bubbling along beside you. Highly recommend muck boots, there are several large puddles, unavoidable slurpy mud, and you ford the stream multiple times. Dog loved being off-leash. Fabulous trail if you wear the right shoes and don't mind getting a bit wet/muddy.

Beautiful trail, though a bit steep and very narrow in places that require single file hiking. Watch your step and enjoy the rustic beauty along this trail. Recommended for more adventurous families.
