  Great owners and very accommodating! I ordered takeout for a family group of 8, and the food was delicious. We got the quiche and hummus platter and both were great- and portions were very generous. I will be a regular customer there for sure.

  What a great little tea house! This place has over a hundred different kinds of tea and the best food I've had since moving to Pittsburgh three years ago. The couple who own The Steeping Leaf are from Switzerland and Germany and the European influence is very noticeable, especially in the high quality of the food. Today on my first visit I had the cabbage and bacon quiche, which was fantastic, and I also had an amazing scone. For those of us who prefer coffee over tea, they have espresso and can make latte and cappuccino. After tea and food, gelato is the perfect dessert, and they have a dozen different flavors. I would give The Steeping Leaf ten stars if I could!

  Visiting family for a (tiny and socially-distanced) wedding, and we stopped by here for lunch. The owners are incredibly friendly and were very helpful in making selections, everyone was wearing masks, and they have a great patio for outdoor eating! I had a salami & goat cheese panini, an earl grey latte, and a lemon scone, and everything was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!

  Enjoyed a pot of tea and caprese sandwich this afternoon. Amazing space. Wonderfully diverse tea menu. Highly recommend. Good amount of outdoor seating as well. I will visit again soon for sure!
