  I suffered for entirely too many years with these conditions as well as failed surgeries and other experimental treatments.
  Dr. Tammy knows exactly what she's doing. This isn't guesswork for her. She developed HIGHLY EFFECTIVE treatments that can honestly change and improve your quality of life.
  Surgeons had given up on me, and I suffered horribly with migraines, cranio facial pain, neck pain, and sleep apnea. Dr. Tammy knew exactly what to do, and I'm experiencing improvement daily.

  "Dr. Tammy" Balatgek is GREATLY improving the quality of my life. I have struggled with TMJ/TMD problems and sleep apnea for as long as I can remember. I managed to “get by,” until six years ago when my life came "crashing down,” and my condition and symptoms became severe. My jaw joints had degenerated to the point of disc displacement. My condyles are worn away from years of bone-on-bone wear. Bilateral arthritis had set-in. Sleep testing showed I stopped breathing 97 times per hr which put me at risk of having a heart attack in my sleep. Since I had acute and chronic TMJ pain, headaches, ocular migraines, exhaustion, and numerous other symptoms, the quality of my life was GREATLY diminished. I saw several renowned surgeons and specialists in the field of TMJ/TMD and Maxillofacial Pain and Surgery. For SIX years, I underwent a multitude of treatments... chiropractic, PT, nerve blocks, bite guards, acupuncture, pain meds, surgery, Botox injections, etc. To make matters worse, I had FOUR life threatening complications. The symptoms became more acute as the degeneration of my joints continued. Although I wore a CPAP, I still had sleep apnea. I felt totally desperate and wanted to give up. Well, that is -- until I found Dr. Balatgek. She knows EXACTLY what she’s doing and how to effectively treat TMJ/TMD and sleep apnea. Her consultation and examination were the MOST thorough I had EVER experienced. She took the first Cone CT scans of my joints... far more accurate than regular CT & MRIs. For the first time, a doctor explained why my TMJ/TMD was causing me such acute pain as well as why my sleep apnea was not improving. Basically, my condyles were rubbing together and pinching my Trigeminal Nerve. She recommended that I wear two special oral appliances that separate my condyles and reduce the chance that the nerve will be pinched. The nighttime appliance would hold my mandible further forward -- therefore, my airway would no longer be obstructed by my mandible falling back as my muscles relax during sleep. She further explained that I may even be able to grow pseudo discs, if the condyles are kept apart. FINALLY, I found someone who TRULY has a grasp on my conditions as well as how to effectively treat them! IN FACT, BEING TREATED BY DR. BALATGEK HAS TURNED OUT TO BE THE BEST INVESTMENT THAT I COULD HAVE EVER MADE! Dr. Balatgek fitted me with custom made appliances that I enjoy wearing, since they give me relief. Slowly but surely, my life is being transformed. I'm having fewer incidents of acute jaw pain, migraines, & other symptoms. Also, my sleep apnea is finally improving. Truthfully, I was afraid that it sounded too good to be true -- actually finding a way to diminish my pain and improve the quality of my sleep. However, IT IS TRUE, & IT DOES WORK! Also, you will NEVER find a doctor or office staff that is nicer, more attentive, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and helpful. You can tell that they GENUINELY CARE! If you suffer with TMJ/TMD and/or sleep apnea, THIS is the doctor to treat you and restore your quality of life. Although I am not “cured,” I AM making tremendous strides – with fewer incidents of acute pain, lessening of chronic pain as well as a lesser number of migraines and other symptoms. I even sleep much better. Where there was NO hope… HOPE HAS BEEN RESTORED.   My experience with Dr. Tammy and her staff at Center for TMJ & Sleep Center has been nothing but the BEST! Dr. Tammy is very good at what she does and treats all patients with care and compassion. I am sleeping all night now and dreaming again! My sleep apnea has not been an issue and it is so much more comfortable wearing my device than having to wear that mask with a tube attached to my face! You guys ROCK! Thank you for adding years to my life!
