Very interesting, but since it's a huge concrete castle it's probably best to avoid on the coldest winter or hottest summer days. Very good time and reasonable admission. Tight quarters at times, but you can see everything even with a stroller.
Very interesting. This museum is jam packed with old time American tools and examples of industry before 1900. There are wagons and coopering and tons of other stuff. The whole museum is made of concrete. There is no heat so be ready to bundle up even inside.
So much to see, so little time. Suggest you allow plenty to see it all. Got the package, museum and Fonthill Castle. Very cool. Didn't get to the library. Will def go back to see the tileworks too next time.
Wow! The architecture is only seconded by the fascinating collections. The library is also amazing in the knowledge you can acquire on local and regional history. To truly enjoy it, get yourself a membership so you can visit many times throughout the year.
This place is so neat! Great way to get a feel for how products were made before automation. Each room is set up for one particular trade and every turn brings a new surprise. If you're into American history or just fascinated by old products and ways of life, this museum is definitely worth the visit. Allow 1-2 hours.
